Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 7, 2026
This policy explains what Alacrity, Inc. collects when you visit www.alacrity.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
What you tell us. If you use our contact form, we receive your first name, last name, email address, and message. We receive nothing unless you submit the form.
What your browser tells us. We use Google Analytics, through the MonsterInsights plugin, to see how the Site is used. It records which pages you view, how long you stay, how you arrived, your browser, device, and operating system, your approximate location, and your IP address. It uses cookies to do this.
What we do not collect. The Site has no store, no payments, and no accounts. Please do not put Social Security numbers, bank details, or health information in a contact form message.
What we do with it
- Reply to your message.
- Discuss whether we can work together.
- See which pages are useful and fix the ones that are not.
- Keep the Site secure.
- Meet legal requirements.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising.
Three groups may see it:
- Companies that run the Site for us: our web host (Bluehost) and Google, for analytics. They handle your data only to provide those services.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or when needed to protect people or property.
- A buyer or successor, if Alacrity is ever sold or merged.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies on your browser. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, and the Site works without them. To opt out of Google Analytics on every website, install Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form messages and our replies as long as they are useful for business records, normally no more than 3 years after we last wrote to each other. Analytics data follows the retention period set in our Google Analytics account. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that nothing will go wrong.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will respond within 45 days.
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to have it deleted or corrected, and to be treated the same whether or not you use these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms.
If you are outside the United States, note that the Site runs from the United States. Using it means your information is processed here.
Children
The Site is for businesses, not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
The Site links to other sites, such as LinkedIn. We do not control them, and their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. Using the Site after a change means you accept the new version.
